  1. What is the difference between 2Succeed in Employment and Department of Vocational Rehabilitation? 

Department of Vocational Rehab is a federal and state agency dedicated to helping people get back to work.  2Succeed in Employment is a non profit entity that partners with state voc rehab.

How does work play a role in a person’s recovery from mental health?

Work plays a crucial role in an individual’s recovery.  Returning to work allows an individual to be a productive member in the community and the individual will learn to identify themselves as a whole person rather than just their symptoms. 

What are the characteristics and skill level of the population that we serve?

The members we serve have a wide range of educational backgrounds and skill level.  Individual’s abilities can range from entry level all the way up to people with advanced degrees.  We pride ourselves in finding the right person for the right employer.  Many individual returning to work enjoy multitasking and others enjoy a simple repetitive task. 

As an employer, how can I assist an individual at work to be successful on the job?

Employment Specialist are available to both the employer and the employee to ensure success on the job.  Depending on the individual, services can be tailored to best meet the needs of everyone involved. 

How do I hire a member at 2Succeed?

We follow each employer’s hiring protocol and processes.  In addition, we encourage our members to participate in on the job training, work adjustment training and job shadowing.  To find out more contact us here at 2Succeed.

Who is responsible for Worker’s Compensation?

If a member is in work adjustment training through MHCD worker’s compensation is covered through the Mental Health Center of Denver for that time period; if a member is hired by an employer than the employer is responsible for Workers’ Compensation.

How long can a member receive services through 2Succeed?

A member can receive services for an indefinite period of time as long as they are still enrolled in services from the Mental Health Center of Denver.

When returning to work can I get a job and still keep my benefits?

All members are given the opportunity to meet with a benefits specialist who can explain in detail how working will affect each individual’s benefits.
